This summer, Milton Keynes will once again be transformed into a vibrant, creative playground as IF: Milton Keynes International Festival 2025 returns from 18th to 27th July. Over ten incredible days, the city will host a spectacular mix of world-class performances, installations, live music, comedy, circus, cabaret, and family-friendly fun.
Here at Unity Place, we’re proud to be the community event partner for the Festival, and we’re thrilled to be hosting a range of must-attend events and workshops that reflect the Festival’s spirit of creativity, culture, and community.
Here’s what’s coming up at Unity Place during the Festival:
Zwermers: Pan~//Catwalk | Who’s in Your Wardrobe?
Workshops: 14th – 17th July | 17:00–21:00 | Community Hall
Performances: 19th July | 12:45 & 15:30 | Station Side Foyer
A captivating series of workshops exploring identity, self-expression, and fashion, culminating in a catwalk-style performance like no other. Led by Festival artists, these sessions invite participants to dive into their wardrobes and uncover the stories woven into their clothes. On Saturday 19th July, Unity Place will become a runway for two powerful, community-led performances.

Les Colombes Workshop
9th July | 11:30–14:30 | Urban Food Market Mezzanine
Michael Pendry’s multimedia artwork Les Colombes (The White Doves) has embarked on an extraordinary global journey – from Jerusalem to New York, and Mumbai to Hawaii – and now it lands in Milton Keynes as part of IF: 2025.
This breathtaking installation features a graceful flock of white paper doves, symbolising peace, unity, and hope. It explores the bonds that tie us together, the balance between personal freedom and collective belonging, and invites viewers to reflect on our shared humanity. Its clear, universal message resonates on a deeply personal level – inspiring thoughts of freedom, peace, and a better future.
Join us at Unity Place for a creative workshop that contributes directly to this city-wide art piece. Be part of something beautiful, meaningful, and truly global.

Working Boys Club – Serving Sounds
18th July | 13:00–13:40 | Urban Food Market
Serving Sounds is no ordinary music set – it’s a mobile pub experience that creates connections through music. Imagine stepping up to a bar and finding all the usual items – glasses, beer mats, taps – but with a twist: each item triggers a groove, a beat, maybe even your favourite song.
This is interactive sound art in its most playful form. Led by the Working Boys Club, Serving Sounds transforms a casual pub setting into an unexpected stage – where the bar becomes the instrument, and the audience becomes part of the show.
Come along, grab a bite or a drink from the Urban Food Market, and get involved.
