2025: A year of coffee, connecting & community
A year at Unity Place looks different depending on when you arrive. For some, it starts with coffee and a laptop. For others, it’s a haircut, a workshop, a lunch break or an evening event. This overview reflects a year shaped by routine, variety and repeat visits (with plenty more still to come).
Lunch on repeat
From quick grab-and-go bites to relaxed sit-down lunches, the Urban Food Market proved that good food and flexibility can go hand in hand.
This year, we served a whopping 37,753 lunches. The most popular choices? Our Rye’s Deli Salad and Pizza are the top favourites this year!

Coffee into compost
Coffee plays a big role at Unity Place, and its impact doesn’t end at the cup.
Since launching our coffee grounds donation initiative, approximately six small bin bags of used coffee grounds are donated every week to Camphill MK Gardens, where they’re reused to support sustainable growing practices. That’s a total of 144 bags of coffee given a second life.
We’re full of beans because zero grounds have gone to landfill, we’ve built one brilliant local partnership and many grounds have been reused rather than wasted!

Everyone loved lots of lattes
Caffeinated or not, coffee took the top spot as everyone’s favourite refreshment and purchase at Unity Place.
A whopping 97,207 coffee items were served; the Hej Latte took the top spot, with cappuccinos, flat whites and americanos following closely behind.
The year of good hair days
Over the last 12 months, ROK barbers delivered nearly 6,000 services at Unity Place.
That’s thousands of haircuts, skin fades and beard trims, countless confidence boosts before meetings, events and nights out and a steady stream of people leaving feeling a little more put together than when they arrived.

Switched on, sounded great
Unity Place hosted eight live music evenings in collaboration with National Sounds and local talent.
These events showcased emerging artists, added a reason to stay beyond office hours and offered a different way to experience the space.
Quiz night energy
Quiz nights returned throughout the year, with eight quiz nights hosted, teams made up of colleagues, friends and regulars, and questions answered with varying degrees of confidence. Competitive, social and firmly in the calendar for 2026!

Trying something new
This year was about curiosity. Across 40 workshops, events and experiences, people came to Unity Place to try something creative, learn alongside others and step out of routine, even if just for an hour.
Not every session was about mastering a brand-new skill, but each one offered space to explore something different.
Big events, small details
From a conference and events perspective, the numbers tell their own story.
Over the year, Unity Place hosted 327 events, welcoming 23,809 guests through its doors.

2025 wrapped
Behind every stat is a moment: hundreds of mindful pauses over coffee, thousands of conversations sparked, countless reasons that make Unity Place the place to be in 2026.
Across food, events, work and downtime, Unity Place has continued to settle into everyday life in Milton Keynes. It’s been used in different ways, at different times of day, by different people… often all at once.
Come visit us next year to gather, eat and connect.
